d.Shoes arrived 3 weeks later, from China, in a beat up box, pic #1. I noticed the size listed on outside of box was not what I had inadvertently purchased and set them aside, to deal with the return later. The next day, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the embossed Adidas name and logos on box were "off", chalked it up to the box being beaten to hell.I decided to open the box, pic #2 & check out the shoes and was blown away by the obvious fakes I was sent. Shoes wrapped in a plastic bag? No tissue paper? Or tags? Or cardboard shoe trees? These NMD R2 looked bulky, poorly stitched, made with inferior quality materials. I'm a HUGE Adidas fan and wear Adidas athletic shoes almost exclusively, so I know what to look for and knew that I had been duped. Even on sale, I paid $93.49 on dollar store quality shoes.Let me do a run down for you:Pic #3 - Check out the heels in the pic. On the left are the fakes this seller sent me, on the right are the newest pair from my authentic collection. Notice the scales on the fakes, they are very uniform, identical. The scales are not supposed to be uniform at all, like the pair on the right - or even look at seller's stock photos and you'll see what the foam is supposed to look like.Pic #4 - See the 4 raised dots, or dimples, on the heel? Authentic Adidas have no more than 3 dimples (in theme with the 3 striped logo that reps the Adidas brand). You'll only see them when brand new because after some wear and compression, some or all will disappear.Pic #5 - This is the biggest tell-tale that these are fake. No two Adidas shoes, even within the same pair, will have the same build numbers. Seller sent me these fakes, complete with identical build numbers. Check for yourself, go get a pair of your Adidas and look at the label, the last set of numbers. Different, right? Every time on authentic Adidas.Pics #6 & #7 - Let's ignore the K-mart quality material and focus on the glue stain and material over-pour. Adidas qc/qa would never allow this to roll out of the factory. Especially when the shoes retail for $100+ USD.Pic #8 - Look at the outer sole on the toe cap. The left is my new fake pair and the right are authentic, from seller's stock pics. See how the 3 stripes come up onto ththe toe cap on the authentic pair, but not on the pair seller sent me? Adidas doesn't have different molds for the same model of shoe, so it is not possible it is from an Adidas manufacturer.Pic #9 - The materials used on the uppers from the fake pair are dramatically different from that of authentic pair.Pic # 10 - This one is cute and infuriating at the same time. The word 'STRIPES' is spelled incorrectly on the fake pair this seller, Higher flying, sent me. Higher flying's own stock photo shows how it is supposed to be spelled correctly.Pic #11 - The stitching is laughable. Left side are the fake pair, and even the stitching from the left shoe to the right shoe is dramatically different. But compared to seller's stock photo, on the right, neither of my fake shoes come close to how Adidas stitched their NMD R2.These are just some of the ways I could tell I was sent counterfeit product.

The shoes fit as expected which is an important factor when buying shoes.If you are a big runner, I would recommend more of a running shoe since these are more for casual activity. They are great for just about anything but running many miles every day just because of the large base on the bottom of the shoe. Also since these shoes have a larger base I don’t recommend these for people who don’t have the best balance or are likely to fall. The large bottom has a greater chance of getting caught on things. I personally love the large base because they make me taller and just give me that little boost I need. These are more like sneakers than running shoes so they are a great casual shoe. These tennis shoes are easy to slip on and off if you are in a hurry and they also have great durability. I have been wearing them for over a month now and they haven’t worn down at all. If you need a pair of long lasting shoes these could be for you. They are on the expensive side but the quality can speak for the price. To get the most out of your money, cleaning them is very important. These shoes can be difficult to clean since the bottom have creases but put a little elbow grease into it and you can get them good as new. These shoes are perfect for walking unless it’s in the snow. Like most tennis shoes they don’t have the best traction and can be slippery in snowy areas. Other than that the weather has rarely stopped me from wearing my Adidas sneakers. Overall, 5 stars was the right choice for this product. The pros definitely outweighed the cons and that’s why it was a great investment. I hope this review is helpful in deciding if you want to make this purchase!
