ns. I bought it primarily for telling time during the day and evening, for the date, and for casual wear (including swimming). I chose this one over the many I researched mostly because of the color. Let me say, I do not like pink at all. I'm much more into earthy colors...brown, orange, green, etc. That said, the watch arrived in a padded bag with the actual Casio cardboard box inside. It was dented so I was immediately fearful, but the watch itself was inside a metal box so no harm done at all. The watch was set but not to my time zone. Thankfully, the instruction booklet was included. I found it easy to understand and was able to set the date and time (to the second, actually) quickly and easily. As stated in many other reviews, the face is mirrored. Yes that could cause it to be difficult to read in certain lighting. However, I walked my house, inside and out, and had zero difficulty seeing the time. If the sun hits it a certain way, just move your wrist a smidge, and poof, you can see the face with no problem. The rose gold on the face is very attractive! It makes the watch rich looking (if that's possible for a "sport" watch). The band is very much a champagne, taupe, nude, beige color. (take your pick) but it's certainly NOT pink or rose gold like the face. It has a nice sort of sparkle finish to it. The band is flexible and easy to put on. It feels very comfortable on my 6" wrist. I don't feel like the face is too big although that is a personal preference I suppose. There are little dancing animals in the day block when you press the light. Not necessary, but cute. The back light is bluish, does it's job, and goes out quickly. As I said, once I wear this for my trip, I will update and comment on the durability of wearing this daily in very hot weather, sight-seeing, theme parks, and swimming. Right now, I totally recommend this watch. It seems very functional and really is unique in color.***Dec 2017 UPDATE***LOVE this watch! I wore it all Summer, including while swimming. I had no issues with it at all. The only problem I had was when it was time to "Fall Behind" for Daylight Saving Time. I misplaced the instructions and couldn't remember how to adjust the time. That, of course, was my problem...had nothing to do with the watch at all. Once I found the instructions, it was super simple to change the time. I changed my review to 5 stars. Go get you one!

confusing. The watch was set to Tokyo time when I received it. Took me 15 minutes to change the time and set three alarms. What drove me to buy this watch was the shock and water proof qualities, and the 5 daily alarms. I wanted multiple alarms to use at work (breaks, lunch). Also I have used this watch to wash my car, swim in a pool, swim in a pond, take a shower, do dishes. It's definitely water proof. And as for the shock resistance, upon opening it and taking it to my bedroom I dropped it down the stairs! It was fine. I am also getting used to having a watch on my wrist so I often bang it into doors and door ways, among other things. The hard rubber material of the band and the face of the watch get scuffed sometimes but it comes out with some soap and water, or just water sometimes.I recommend. Can't go wrong with a G-Shock watch!And when you press the light button a little animal appears on the top of the screen for a few seconds: fish, dolphin, cat, or dog! A cute extra touch. It is a women's watch, after all!

ecame so uncomfortable I turned it to wear the face on the inside of my wrist. Although it was awkward remembering which way to turn my wrist to see the time, it was much more comfortable. After wearing it that way for a few days, I turned it back to the outside of my wrist. The band is a bit more flexible now and although it still can be either too tight or just a tad bit loose, it's not completely uncomfortable. It's a beautiful champagne color. The only time I notice any pink in it is when I wear pink. I love the rose gold face. It took me a while to figure out how to program it because the directions are definitely not accurate. I have not used the other features yet, and probably won't. The light works perfectly. The button for the light is in a great spot. I love having the date on the watch as well. The little animals that pop up are cute. They don't really bother me as they aren't getting in the way of anything and I think its interesting.
