doesn't have too many fussy parts. Most of what you need is contained in the shaver and maybe 2 attachments. Charged relatively quickly and has held the charge all week (every other day use) without sounding like it's going out anytime soon.From my experience this is how it handles different grooming scenarios:Shaving: Not great. It's shape makes it easy and convenient to move around your face but it doesn't get a clean shave well. I tried it with cream and it barely did anything and I tried it dry and it did work a little better. But to get a somewhat clean shave I had to rub my skin a little raw. Not too fun. Ended up using my real razor and it was way easier/more effective. I didn't expect much but could be a little more effective.Trimming: Pretty good. It seems to work well to get a tight 5 o clock shadow look (which I like) when you use the trimmer side, but the trimming guard on the shaver side it really only lets you get a light 3 day beard. So it's either a beard or barely anything. Would love this thing if it had a variety of stubble size options.Other Features: Pretty cool. The little detail trimmer is cool and useful, and the fact that it's waterproof is really cool. Haven't used the large hair trimmer as I have a proper clipper for that.Overall Pros:Good for tight trimmingWaterproofPortable/nice sizeConveniently assembled/simple designCharger/stand is convenientCons:Not a great shaverCould use more size variation for trimmingA little loudOverall I'll probably keep it just as a decent backup/travel trimmer. It'll certainly do the job in a bind. If it had a few more trimming increments or the shaver was a little better it'd be spot on. Also just looks cool.

ves close but not razor blade close and you have to perform several passes over the same area, this is shaving dry. I don't know if it shaves better wet because in the water I'll just as soon use a blade. One thing I don't like is its not a "plug and shave razor", so if the battery is dead you have to wait 5 min for it to charge, not a big deal really. Thankfully no matter how hard I press this against my skin, it does not irritate at all like a Remington would.

ice for replacement foils, I never had a single problem or complaint. This new one may share the same "Braun" name, but it's nowhere near the same level of quality. It has the typical cheap, cheesy, plastic-y feel to it. It gives an OK shave ... there will never (ever) be an electric that can shave anywhere near as close as a blade, for my beard anyhow. But this one is at least good for "weekend touchups". I still have the classic Homer Simpson shadow when I'm done, but I look more "presentable" at least!I doubt this will last longer than a few years, even with infrequent use, but it was one of the cheaper electric units available, so it was a good buy in that regard.If you're that typical razor commercial guy, the one that can go days without shaving, and never show even the slightest hint of stubble or shadow, this would be good for you. Otherwise, stick with using a good ol' reliable blade.

s exactly what happened here. I get this shaver out to use and realize the trimmer doesn't cut, but pulls....(It pains me to think about it)! There is absolutely no way I can use it so I guess it will have to be used for the shaver only! Really expected more for the money I paid.

I used it yesterday and today I am still absent any wild hairs on chins and peach fuzz. I was using a regular non electric razor since my other electric razor was not doing the job( and never did as well this old spice on a good day}. I could not believe that after one day I still did not need to use a razor today it cut that close. I am really so happy with the Old Spice Men's electric shaver. It cut close on my upper lip area with no irritation.I let my husband try it too. I am ordering him one he was blown away with the operation of this shaver. He said it was the closest shave he has ever seen and so easy and comfortable. He has sensitive skin.I am impressed with this shaver and the price is unreal. Braun does make this. The charging cord has BRAUN written on it. I also like the protective cap. I would give this shaver a 10 rating if I could.
