st fine, but I already have plenty of type-A chargersThe big test was if it would charge the Switch, and it failed. I connected it to the Switch when it was at about 30% battery. The switch immediately woke up from sleep (as if it recognized it was connected to something), but did not show any indication it was charging. I left it a bit to see what would happen. After some short time (30 seconds?), the Switch blanked the screen (having realized nothing was happening) but then a few seconds later it woke up again, stayed on for a little while, went to sleep, woke up, etc, etc, wash, rinse, repeat. It was getting no charge from the charger but it instead was running the battery down by being kept on most of the time while connected.To their credit, Satechi Customer Support has been responsive to my problems. It seems like they are hearing the same issue from other people and are trying to get in touch with Nintendo to figure out what is going on. According to the support tech, it may charge in some situations and not in others, but they don't yet understand what those situations are. For now, I'm holding onto my device to see if Satechi comes to any conclusions, but will have to return it before long to be within Amazon's return window. If I find new information, I'll update this review.
