I put them on the end of the marker. I do really enjoy the variety of colors with these, and the fact that the colors are all named. With the supertips, I had to go through them all with white labels and do color swatches and tape them on the side of the markers to see the true colors. Since these are labeled, I was able to just do that on a piece of paper.

ecifics: You can use the point for a finer line, and the side for a broader line or for filling in larger area. You can build the color a little bit, put one color on top of another to change the shading some. (They don't blend like an art-marker, obviously.) They've got good ink flow, and good coverage with one pass. No bleed through on any decent paper, unless you really put a lot of ink in one spot. Size: they're the same circumference as an average felt-tip pen (despite the "skinnies" name). Uncapped, they're about as long as a crayon, but with the cap posted on the back, it's like using a normal pen. (Some of the caps stay on the back better than others. All stay on the front just fine.) They would not be super for small details (like the Secret Garden type books), or for drawing mandalas or other fine-line patterns. I have fine line pens (Stabilo 88) that are intermediate level, art-supply-wise, and use them if I'm getting serious about staying in the lines. I anticipate that the point may eventually get "mushy" with use. It's not a huge issue for me because 1) they were inexpensive, 2) I was pleasantly surprised the points were as pointy as they were to start with, 3) I use them mostly for bigger areas.Verdict: for your basic level colored marker, this is a great value. Ignore the "pip-squeaks skinnies" name." It's versatile enough for adults to get their coloring fix.

g. These markers are shorter than the normal Crayola markers so it is to be expected. I knew that when I got these and I still preferred the shorter markers over the longer as I wanted more colors to choose from. Even though some of them are wearing out, I have used them quite a bit. I'm actually surprised they didn't wear out sooner. My only complaint about them would be that some of the colors are actually hard to distinguish from one another on paper. Looking at the lids, they look vastly different. But once you get them on paper, they tend to look a bit darker than you would have thought and tend to blend into one another too much. That being said, once you start using them, you get to know how they're going to look and can make adjustments that way. And, I'd still buy them again.

A few of the colors are very similar, but they are all slightly different enough that if they're next to each other you can tell the difference. Some of the colors come out very different than the cap color would suggest. I made myself a little color guide on some note cards that I keep in the box so I can be sure I'm using the one I want every time, but it would be easy enough to figure out without it since each color has it's own name on it that you could learn. There are no repeat colors in the box, and all of the colors are beautiful and vibrant. I paid all of $7 for these, so I really feel like I got my money's worth.The only thing I would change about these markers is I'd add more shades of purple to the box, and a couple less brown. There's about a dozen different shades of brown, but only 7 or 8 purples (and only 2 or 3 TRUE purples, the rest are burgundy/magenta/lilac shades).

r realized how therapeutic coloring could be as I am awful with drawing, that gift just passed me by. But with the coloring and the popularity of adult coloring books I've become so much less stressed, and these markers will certainly do the trick as I can do vidid colors and multiple colors and not worrying about losing one (hey I have 63 others!). Highly recommend these to anyone from age 0-130!
