I cannot hear this because at my age I top at at 9000 Hz and YOU cannot hear this because you are not a bat.Best Feature:The tap and swipe and cup gestures on the right headphone surface work beautifully and intuitively, allowing start, pause, resume, previous track, next track, and volume with just those gestures one would expect to activate said features, ie: swipe forward for next track, cup right earpiece to cut music and activate external microphone.Worst Feature:Getting stuck in the “Sony / Headphone Connect” page of the App because I forgot to disconnect from the tablet when switching back to the iPhone.Most Fun Feature:That same Sony / Headphone Connect App, on your Android or iPhone, which features a very clear GUI that allows:-Ambient Sound Control that lets you choose between sitting, walking, jogging, transport; all these in case you don’t think the automatic feature has selected properly.-Sound Direction Locator that makes the sound come from different points on the compass. ???? why?-Equalizer allowing manual custom settings or “Bright”, “Bass Boost”, “Custom 1 and 2”, “Excited” (seriously), “Mellow” (the fun continues), “Relaxed”, “Vocal”, “Treble Boost” -which I need, sadly.-Surround (VPT) which offers sound processing labelled ‘Arena’, ‘Concert’, ‘Club’, ‘Outdoor Concert’, and ‘Off’... Of course, “Off” was, and will always be, the best sounding option.-DSEE HX (where does Sony come up with these monikers?) that expands dynamic response on today’s unfortunately over-compressed music. I don’t know how well this works, really.Notes: The clumsily named WH-1000XM2 (Sony, remember?) comes with airplane adapter, charging cable, and hardwired cable to connect directly instead of bluetooth.Don’t forget to cancel previous device and reconnect to newest device if you are, say, switching between laptop and phone.Works great with iPhone for incoming calls (can’t make calls); tap twice to answer and hang up. No mute. Sound quality adequate, and the microphone up in the earpiece transmits your voice clearly, I am told.Comes with an attractive compact case into which it folds easily and neatly.Are the Bose 35's this good? If so, they are both magic.
