I was worried that it would shrink when washed and that it would no longer fit but after two washings, the size is the same.The pockets are reasonably roomy and are sewn so that things inside of them don't fall out easily. The zipper I've never had a problem with (on this one or my older one) and the hood does what it's supposed to do, though the drawstrings for the hood need periodic re-tightening. Perhaps I'll buy some cord locks and add them?Warmth is about what you'd expect for a hoodie and the advantage with a front-zip style is that you can unzip it if you're too warm. It's not too bulky or heavy to carry around if you do have to remove it.This is the second one I've bought. When it gets too worn, there will be a third.

Wears well, washes well, and sturdy. The pocket on the front is big so you can keep your han

The elastic on the sleeves is especially good-- I can push the sleeves up to my elbows for a while if I am working on something and then pull them back down to the wrist when I am done, and the elastic goes right back to its original size without getting all stretched out. I couldn't be happier with it. It will probably last 10 years or more. Get the tall if you are over about 5'10, have big shoulders or are long-waisted-- Carhartt shirts tend to run a little short, in my opinion.
