ceived this, I was a bit skeptical about the fit across the front and how it all would feel while running. However, once I filled it and put it on, it fit well and didn't bother me across my chest. Also, I had read that some hydration backpacks tasted like plastic when initially using. This one did not have that problem, and I didn't wash it before my first use.This backpack has been a lifesaver, and while I probably won't use in my half marathons since those occur in cooler weather, it's made my summer training much more enjoyable and safer!The instructions said to hand wash the backpack, but handwashing wouldn't get the sweat smell out of the straps. So, I disconnected the plastic bladder and removed it completely (which is very easy) and machine washed the backpack on gentle in a lingerie bag. No problems! Sweat smell eliminated. I sweat A LOT so I envision having to wash this weekly, so I'll update in a few months to tell how the machine washing has affected the backpack.
