For the last few years I've made it a habit - Buy a pair of shoes in August, and replace them in December because the sole has worn down. In fact, my last pair of shoes didn't even make it until October before they had to be replaced, and even then will plenty of gorilla glue holding them together. I replaced them with these Ecco shoes, and I'm, amazed. Usually by now, the sole of my shoe is worn down to almost nothing, or is peeling away. With these, I can barely see any wear in the sole at all.

This is the first pair of shoes I've owned that I've had long enough to justify polishing to keep the leather looking new. In fact, I think with regular polishing, these shoes might last forever. These soles are amazing.

One downside: The very durable sole material is also very squeaky on tile/laminate floors. If you're in an environment where you will need to be quiet when you walk, and the floor are hard like that, then you may want to reconsider the shoes.

.5 in dress shoes. Having bought the size 44 (10 - 10.5 US) first, I can tell you these run large. I ended up with the 43 (US 9 - 9.5) and they fit perfectly. 9 - 9.5 would normally be WAY too small for me in most brands of dress shoe. After having made the exchange, I noticed that my old pair of ECCOs were size 43 as well, so this is not something particular to this shoe.

lover of Ecco himself. I wore my last pair for over five years and I am in outside sales pounding the pavement in downtown SF. They were comfortable until the one day I noticed one had finally lost some tread. I don't know how but it could have been from riding my Vespa to an appointment. I am not easy to please when it comes to consumer items but I love my Ecco shoes. BTW, they are styling too. My new pair with the Cap-Toe look is something to be proud of wearing.

l. To me they seem a little too roomy but I think I'll get used to them. The shoes are comfortable right out of the box. The rubber soles squeak a little on tile floors but it's not too noticeable. The heel is slightly higher than the typical dress shoe but, hey, I'm a little "vertically challenged" so I'm good with that. They look very nice and seem well made--let's see how they hold up.

原文： This is my go-to Ecco shoes. I am on my 4th pair and i can tell you that this one has been in my show rotation for about 6 years. Super comfortable, and the back bottom heel doesn't wear out too bad. I'm one of the guy who has heel on
the outer side wear out first so shoe looks like it's at an angle. Not with these shoes - seems the heel is made with super condensed rubber that doesn't wear out easy.

The top tends to wear like any other shoes, but you go get that shoe shine for 3 + 2 tip (NYC) then it's like new shoes all over again.

Great shoes for wide feet as well.
