This projector is definitely an excellent purchase! We use this projector for showing presentations and for TV at home.
Quality: We have tested every input with combinations of a Surface Pro 4, Fire TV, Roku, Blu-Ray and OTA
Live TV. The picture quality is absolutely amazing! It takes just a few minutes and the brightness is at it's fullest. The images from all the blu-rays are amazing at the size we are projecting. We had our doubts when we used a HomeWorks box to convert the coaxial for OTA to HDMI for live TV. We ended up watching the Super Bowl and it was absolutely flawless. We couldn't ask for anything more...
Display Size: I did not fully understand how well the Short Throw feature works. After getting the projector, we were able to have a movie night at our church and display an 80 inch blu-ray movie from 3-5 feet away. We sat it on a table about 2 feet off the ground and angled it up. At that distance, it showed great.
Sound: To have contained speakers, the speakers are great. I don't think you will find contained speakers that do sound that well. They are not home theater quality, but definitely better than what you would expect coming from the actual projector itself.
Noise: I have found that even using the projector for 8 hour presentations, that I do not hear the sound of the fan from the projector. Even when it is quite in our home, there is very little noise coming from it.
Settings: There are a ton of settings in this projector. Most of them are only accessible if you have nothing hooked up. If you hook up anything and press menu, it will give you the majority of the settings. But if you unplug all devices, press menu, then you will get a nice grid and a menu with all features. There are a lot and should allow you to adjust to your room and location.
Key-stoning: This projector comes with two key stoning features (that I know if). It comes with Auto-Keystone turned on and it does an amazing job. Even when we place it less than two feet off the floor and point it to 7 feet off the floor, it corrects itself immediately to the right spot. 9 times out of 10 it is correct. It's when I let the leg out to raise or lower it just a bit, it throws it off. We just raise it by hand and set it back down and it corrects itself. The manual keystoning works as well by remote and is quick to adjust.
Lens Rings - You have two adjustments from the top of the projector for the lens. A small zoom that depending on how far you are back from the screen, will throw or shorten the screen by a foot or two.
We have not had time to test the 3D function, hopefully we will when/if we permanently mount the projector.
