I am a big "stem" learning guy. I volunteer coach competitive robotics teams for kids as young as 8. I have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't.

1) This zoo set is priced a bit high. For $80-$90 t
here are a LOT of STEM activities you can buy in the form of science kits, robot parts, etc.
2) The age range on this is 6-15, which has to be a joke. The only way older kids are going to be involved in this is if they are teaching/showing younger kids, and that doesn't really count. I am teaching 14 year olds to write code in Java and solder, and they pick it up very well. I would not bring in zoobs.
3) most 6 year olds are not going to be able to follow the instructions on their own. This set is really better for the 8-10 crowd.

Ultimately, I think that ZOOBs could have published these cards on their own, or as an app that parents download, and let people use their existing zoobs with them. I agree that some thought and effort went into creating the "challenges" on the cards, but I really doubt that any kid is going to go through ALL 35 challenges on their own without any supervision. As soon as you want to involve supervision, there are a lot of other products out there that they could be a part of.

The zoobs are fun to play with and put together.

Bottom line: In my 5 years as a robotics coach participating in a wide range of STEM training, I don't think that it makes a very good STEM challenge set. Why? I think that the Zoobz STEM challenge is a conflicted product. The basic product is more appealing to the very young, while the challenges and stem activities are more appealing to an older group than the base product. However, if you are willing to participate with your younger child it can work out.

I love that the container stands upright as it takes less space than the boxier type, which I end up stack
ing and then always seem to need the one on bottom. This particular set comes with a few extra perks such as bulding pads, a ball and wheels with rubber. I love the creativity it inspires and that it hold children's attention.
Age recommended is 6 and over. While a 6 year would be able to enjoy, the connecting of some of the parts came be difficult at that age. I have trouble saying this is worth the price of $90.

I love these Zoob sets, I have quite a few and was happy to try out this new STEM version. This set allows kids to design and build creations to solve challenges and my son loves
them. I dont know about the high price of $90, even with the coveted STEM, I would not pay that much because it only has 255 ZOOB pieces and other similar sets are priced much cheaper, however this does include foam building pads, 4 wheels with tires, 1 Rubber Ball, nylon string, and my favorite is the 14 challenge cards and instructions for multiple builds. Perhaps the price will drop again, either way, this is a great set.

The added use of suggestion cards allows the kids to build, create, adapt, follow directions, interact with their creations, tear apart and start again. If they create something they really like, they can follow the directions to create i
t again. Since children lose interest in their toys so quickly, I love that they can make things, use them, tear them down and make them again when they feel like it. And there aren't a dozen different toys going unused, but consuming space in the storage area. They lock together well and are very sturdy.

原文： Extremely versatile building kit which encourages imaginative play...although I'm not sure the best way to refer to it is as 'play'. It IS fun to use, the set includes several bags of different colored connecting pieces which snap together. The balls on the pieces look like mini golf balls. There
are wheels, rubber bands, stands and a ball included for you to use. We haven't used everything yet. Our grandson was very excited to just start connecting the pieces so that's what he and grandpa did for a few days. The kit includes a set of cards with suggestions/challenges of things to build. We started card #1- building a car, but just the body, as I said our grandson is just a bit young for this kit, but we didn't want to discourage him from building things. Also the instructions encourage you to incorporate other non-kit items such as cardboard, twigs, and for us drawings. We build the body of the car then drew the road it would drive on and where it would stop. This is easy for our 4 year old to snap together ( recommended for ages 6+) and he enjoys making all kinds of things. (there are many smaller size pieces so keep an eye on them when using with younger kids) I'm sure when he's a bit older he will find the card challenges fun too. The STEM toys tend to be on the expensive side. I feel they are worth it for the years of creative, educational and stimulating activities a child can enjoy for years.
