You pay a premium for Columbia gear because you know it will last and continue looking like new for many years to come. Unfortunately the last 2 ye
ars of purchases from them have all had the same issues- poor durability. My shirts and pants from 3+ years ago(some a decade old) all look like new still. Those, including this recent purchase, all have structural issues within just a few washes. They now rip in the wash around the buttons and seams. Colors fade and the stain resistant properties of the omni fabric seem to be a thing of the past.
Now I have to wonder why I continue to buy their clothing lines. I urge caution here. Other companies are less expensive and provide better value.

I live in the highlands of Mexico, perfect climate, but moderately hot in April and May, maybe highs of 90, cool
nights, low humidity. Other months, the climate is the best in the world. I wear these shirts year-round, perhaps with a light jacket in December/January.
