原文： My significant other and I both recently had extensive dental work. Our dental practice gave us one, and promotes its use over many other devices. For my needs, they prefer that I use the Air Flosser over dental pics or traditional floss, as it's gentle on dental work, and more thorough. About 2 w
eeks after having a temporary crown installed, I was using our flosser and "blew out" a large piece of excess dental glue that was hiding beneath the gum line. Floss would not have been able find or clean this glue.
Having said this, not everyone tolerates the air flosser. If you have gum issues such as periodontal, bleeding gums, tenderness, open holes, etc... then it may be uncomfortable, as the blast is powerful, but non-adjustable. But, if you can tolerate it, your gums and teeth will heal, and look / feel better over time.

I was so dissapointed in this thing.. Fifty bucks, and you could accomplish just as much by swishing some mouthwash through your teeth.
If you have close-set teeth, this will do nothing. If you want to take care of things between the teeth that aren't at the very bottom, this will do nothing. If you want to take care of your gums at any point other than that one small crack between teeth, this will not help you. The angle of the fixed plastic head made it very difficult for me to position along all of my lower teeth.
The puffs of air/liquid are very weak. The reservoir is so small that if you need to puff between any of your teeth a second time, you will need to refill it. The charging base is small and the whole thing is easy to knock over. As I also ordered one of the sonicare brushes at the same time and am delighted with that one, I am absolutely dismayed that this peice of utter junk is from the same company.
I have given it one extra star for functioning upon arrival for the one day it took me to stuff this ripoff back in the box.

On the recommendation of her Dental Hygienist who mentioned that she might want to try this product and that they sold them at the office... well you know how that goes. I checked it out on Amazon and found it and bought it for her to try. So far
so good and it does exactly what it is supposed to do and now I'm surrounded by flossing string as well as chargers and another machines in the bathroom. I am also surrounded by all the other various personal health care items that you would find normally. Between my two shavers ( I shave my head) and my beard trimmers, rotary nose hair trimmer etc, The wife's Epilady, Sonic care toothbrush, curling iron, hair drier sort of makes it crowded in there for electrical outlets. On the other hand if anything ever happens to one of of us there should be no need for an a medical examiner to decide on the cause of death!. I'm hoping she doesn't decide to take up weight lifting.
All in all she loves the Sonicare air floss and highly recommends it.
One thing however. Trying to get their proprietory mouthwash that you add to the reservoir of the air flosser takes a while to order so use water instead and the maker suggests that you don't use anything with sugars in it.( They tend to clog the tip) Not sure about alcohol so I would stick to water until I know where or what others you can use.
Buy some extra tips if you like using this. They should last about a year or so but you could break one so better safe then sorry. All in all it's a great product. Highly recommended..
