From the looks of things those people did not fully research what they were buying and are now complaining about certain flaws (mainly the "flat tire" design for the face) in the device. If you cannot take 5 minutes to GTS you have no reason to really complain if it is not what you were expecting.
Instead of a traditional review I thought a PROS and CONS list would be better.
PROS:
+The overall look and feel of the watch. It is very high quality in its materials and design and in the week I have had it, I have gotten tons of compliments.
+Battery life is better than I expected it to be. I get tons of notifications throughout the day whether it is work/personal emails, text messages, sports updates, etc. I use it from 7:00AM until roughly 10:30PM and when I place it on the charger it still has around 50% of its battery left. I have my phone set to DO NOT DISTURB from 11:00PM until 7:00AM the following morning so the watch is not going to be receiving notifications during those hours. Because of this I am pretty positive I could get two full days use without having to charge it.
+Ease of use. Seriously, the hardest part about setting up and configuring this was was getting the lid to the box off. Other than that, my phone detected it instantly and prompted me to install Android Wear, and the watch itself updated as well. Within 5 minutes tops I was up and running.
+As the watch has one of the newest Qualcomm processors in it, the thing is lightning fast.
+Interchangeable watch bands is a huge plus. As long as it is a 22mm Fossil band, you should be good to go. And at roughly $25 each you can have multiple cheap options to switch things up. Personally though, the stock brown leather band with the cobalt blue trim looks super slick.
CONS:
+No Android Wear 2.0 out of the box, but Fossil has stated it is coming soon in an update.
+Vibration is weak and if you are fully engaged doing something else you might not even notice it went off.
+Lack of a wall charger adapter. If I am paying $300 for a watch, you should also throw in the wall charger adapter instead of just the USB charger. I was almost considering dinging my rating by a star because of this, but I have so many adapters lying around from old phones I have purchased that I had an extra for this watch.
+No HR monitor, but honestly I am fine with that. I wanted this watch more for everyday casual wear for at work or when I go out at night. I have a Fitbit Charge HR that I can switch over to when I go to the gym or for a run. It counts my steps via Google Fit so that is good enough for me.
