The first trials: I put in the least water recommended, 2qts (8 cups). Might be too firm for my weight class and size (my head is smaller than a size 3 soccer ball). Neck su
pport feels more like a wedge than a roll. My chin is being pushed to my chest, which just inflates my neck pain. The sides of the pillow are curving upward and lifting off the bed. More pressure at the back top of my head than I'd like. After laying on my back on it for 40 minutes, I'm have a headache. Keep in mind, I'm coming from a tempur-pedic crescent pillow. Watepillow is more firm, but about the same height. I'm uncomfortable, but I will try it anyway. Feels better on my side but the smell... This is already making my pain worse. I'm not sure I want to try it overnight.

My issue:
The foam on this pillow is not very comfortable. The memory foam layer is so thin that the pillow really has no feel of a typical memory foam pillow however in still has the heat issue of memory foam. My old pillow was a solid memory foam with cooling gel on one side and it seemed to sleep just as cool if not cooler than this pillow.
The foam is very quick to respond and doesn't seem to cradle my head. Some may like that but in my opinion it just made the pillow feel more firm that I would have liked.
Water bladder:
This works great and I love the idea. I thought it would be weird to sleep with and it is certainly different when go to move your pillow around. The pillow becomes pretty heavy and awkward if you pick it up however this is not an issue when sleeping. After a couple weeks of trial an error I have found the perfect water level and I am happy that I bought a water bladder pillow.
All in all:
I loved my old memory foam pillow but it just wasn't working out with the our new mattress. It was just too low. So since I didn't care for the foam part of this pillow I ended up putting my old memory foam pillow inside this new water bladder pillow case. Now, after some trial and error I have found the perfect height and have been sleeping comfortably again. If I had to do it all over again I would have probably try the first mediflow version pillow vs this so called memory foam version. Many have seemed to prefer it over the foam version.

At least twice a week now I wake up with terrible pains in my upper neck. I took the pillow to my doctor and he doesn't recommend using it, so now I'm hunting for a new pillow. It was nice in the beginning, but unless I'm missing something it sure doesn't last long.

My chiro suggested this pillow because of my back/neck pain and migraines, he and his wife love them. I ordered one for my Mom also. Mine is ok, I'm not as into it as I hoped. M
y Mom wasn't a fan so she had her husband try it, but neither of them wanted to keep using it. I feel it was worth a try and I will likely switch back and forth with that and my other pillows. It's heavy as well, so not easy to take with for travel.
