原文： This is, as expected, one very sturdy bag. All the Tumi stuff I've ever seen has been very rugged, even the daintier silhouettes. We are planning a weekend away (driving trip, not flying) over spring break next week, and so far I have loaded this thing up with all our meds/toiletries, spare clothe
s for two men and a woman, bathing suits and coverups for the hotel pool, and odds and ends of entertainment things like my knitting and an e-reader. There is still plenty of room in it, so I will probably add a shawl for myself.

Right now my airline "personal item" is a Lug Caboose diaper bag, but I may transition to this Tumi, if I can pass it off as a big handbag, because there would be more room for "purchased while on vacation" items. (I can't use it as my carry-on because I already have a small wheeled carry-on for that purpose.) However, I suspect that even rolled up tightly this is going to be too large to pass off as a handbag.

Loses 1 star because even empty it's fairly heavy, so, when full, awkward and difficult to maneuver. I'll just make my teen son carry it :-) If after the trip there is any significant reason to revise this review, I'll come back and do it.

Edit: Yes, I wanted to check it for 'personal item' size, and it's just too big. Rolled and buckled as shown, it is still 25" wide by about 12" high and 12" deep, and it overhangs my rolling suitcase by quite a bit. We'll keep it for local (non-flying) use, but on an airline trip this just won't work. Otherwise, everything I said still stands, and it's a great bag.

原文： Tumi products are spacious, allowing you to pack a lot into them for your traveling, and this roll top design is a real plus for when you are bringing those extra things for overnight trips or maybe even longer adventures.

As I have seen with other Tumi products it is designed to a great
deal and not lose it's shape which helps it to stop where you put it, not having to worry about it falling over. It is also made so that you can unroll the top fit it with clothes or whatever you need and then roll it back down and fasten it so that your items are protected.

The only down side? The price! Ouch. But in this case you are paying for the trust of the name and the quality of the product. Because it is meant to last you will see it as I do, as an investment.

原文： Whenever I get luggage, I hand it over to my husband, a climber and backpacker for 45 years. I want his eye on the straps, buckles and closures. He knows what will last and what will fail in the first use. His comment? "These people mean business! Everything super tough with excellent stitching

I love this bag. We camp and RV. I have a lot of roller totes but they can be rigid and space hogs in our small 13' RV. This bag is everything I'd want if I was to wishlist a bag. The roll style opening stays open for fishing around for what you want. When you are done, it rolls down and securely buckles on each side. Zero chance of anything falling out or getting lifted. The top handles buckle together. The bag has integral feet which extend the life of any bag five fold.

There is a shallow front pocket with a magnetized closure. There is also a sleeve to allow this to slip over a roller tote handle. The material is very tough and I anticipate it will survive years of rough use without any problems. Capacity wise I can get a week of camping clothes into this.

The blue color is closer to navy than the photo depicts, much less "electric blue" than I had anticipated. I do not fly do I can't speak to overhead/underseat storage requirements. This will be my primary bag for RVing, retiring less worthy luggage. Outstanding construction, design and attention to detail.
