Also, in the 115 degree heat here in Phoenix, sometimes 2 liters hasn't lasted me my whole activity, but 3 liters leaves some so my kids can even have some. Some reviewers criticized the waste strap for being too short. Either Camelback fixed that by extending the length or those reviewers missed the fact that the straps are efficiently bundled up and strapped and need to be released to make that belt fit around their big bellies. I wear this as a front (rather than back) pack when I ride my recumbent tricycle which makes the phone pocket a thousand times more useful since it is always secure and always in reach as I ride. 5 stars may not be enough. Great value!

Given how hot it was while we were hiking in the desert, I was amazed my how c
ool the water stayed. This pack also has pretty amazing capacity. My friend and I shared it to carry our stuff for day hikes including snacks, sunscreen, first aid stuff, as well as our phones, etc. The pack itself is lightweight when empty and even full of water it hardly feels like you're carrying anything. We went through the water pretty fast but that because we were consuming a lot at those altitudes. Since the trip, I've toted it around like a purse. So nice in the summer to have constant access to water.
My only complaint is that the little magnetic clip that holds the tube next to the pack broke off while we were in the car and I haven't been able to find it. It's a huge bummer because it was a nice feature!

this is my second camelbak, my first one was a rogue camelbak
but I decide for long trips you need something bigger and more capacity.
avoid purchasing stem bags that damage your bike frame and keep all your stuff inside a M.U.L.E. camelbak.

原文： I bought this pack to replace my aging Blowfish and have been fairly pleased so far. I had been rolling with the Blowfish for a few years so I will offer a comparison here if you were considering that as an option.
The Mule has an extra 30 ounces of water and the storage capacity in the c
ompartments is about the same. I would say I can't decide whether I prefer the expandable front pouch of the Mule or the expandable back pouch of the Blowfish - though with the blowfish this expanded the main storage compartment.
The Mule has a useful top handle for carrying which is absent from the Blowfish. Weight and comfort wise I feel they are comparable though I had and easier time adjusting the straps on the Blowfish for weight distribution but this might just be practice.
Perhaps my only complaint would be the magnetic fastner on the Mule. I think it's a good idea but I prefer to have my bite valve on the other side which was possible with the Blowfish. Since you can move the magnetic clip you are stuck with the bite valve where it's at. Maybe it's just me but I tend to get tangled up with the tubing when loading up the pack if it is on my right shoulder.
Overall great pack but I would probably give a slight edge to the Blowfish but partly because of my familiarity

This is it. I have used my camelbacks in Louisiana summer heat, all the way back to my days in the USMC and they have never let me down.
I only buy another if one "
disappears" or I give one away. Even freezing the bladders at half to 3/4 full (ice block melting on your back is amazing in summer heat) 5 to 7 days a week won't ruin the bladder. I only use water or lemon water through mine. If you use other beverages cleaning is a pain, but totally doable.
Worth every penny if hydration is paramount. Buy a few insulated tubes and bladders. I bring an ice chest with a few ready. When I'm out or ice is melting too slow, I just switch bladders and ice water is on heavy flow and I'm mobile again.
