原文： Spied this watch here on Amazon back in October when it first arrived. Been checking frequently but it still is not available at our local Fossil outlet store. Got tired of waiting and decided to go ahead and order it with prime and two day shipping. Glad I did! Beautiful watch. Roman numeral "I
III" and "IX" look exactly like they should for a classy designed timepiece such as this. Old railroad buffs at work like it. Harks back to an earlier era of steam and timetables. Hands look like semaphore arms and face is reminiscent of old station wall clocks. Only thing missing is a "PRR" keystone logo. Does look like an instrument. However, I do miss having a date window and at first I thought the black second and red stopwatch hands might be an issue and have considered painting them but have since decided to leave them alone. I'm a machinist and also didn't care for the light brown yuppie strap so replaced with a 22mm matte black expansion band. Looks and feels like an ideal work and everyday watch for me now as I approach retirement. Very pleased with my purchase.

*update* After wearing it to work for a day now, I do notice the 44mm case is a bit larger and obtrusive than the 42mm I'm used to. Feels like I'm wearing a miniature wall clock on my wrist! Have now installed the 22mm dark brown oiled leather strap from my 42mm FS4656. Looks good. I like to rotate my watches so will wear the FS4656 with the 22mm black hadley-roma expansion band for now. And decide to continue to wear the FS5241 occasionally or clean it up and give it to my 89 year old Dad for his birthday.

*update2* I love this watch. Find I'm wearing it more everyday. Added a black deployment clasp with a dark brown oiled leather strap and a Pennsylvania railroad medallion and I must say it really looks sharp. Receive many compliments.

What was really a disappointment from that 'new watch experience' was the lack of any kind of instructions. They included a multipage warranty booklet in several languages but couldn't incl
ude one page of instructions? It was easy enough to find them on fossil.com but it was 20 pages with very short instructions for every watch they have. Sometimes fitting 3 different watch instructions on one page. Very un-classy in my book and took away from the experience some. Also, in reality now that I better understand what the chronograph does and that it is only good for 30 minutes it is a pretty useless feature. If I go back to - it is an elegant watch that tells time ... I'm more content.

The watch comes in a tin box, which is all right, but the box came open in transit and when I opened the Amazon cardb
oard box in which it was shipped, the lid had fallen off the tin box and the watch was rolling around in the airbag fillers. Not good. Fortunately, there was no damage.
