r 5+ hours!! Enough time for me to heat my child’s meal in the morning and have it still be hot for them at lunch time. Also, cold items stay cold for 7+ hours! The thermos is very durable too. The price seems high at first, but when you realize how much of a lifesaver it is, you won’t bat an eye at the price! I would highly recommend this to anyone with school aged children. I have already purchased additional ones for family and friends.

原文： Mold. The container is wonderful however the inside lid gets black mold spots where the threads are. It's impossible to clean the lid thou rightly. Having had 6 of these overs the years I know that the rubber in the lid gets moldy quickly so I throw it away before it does. The inside threads get
moldy eventually. I use the jars solely to hold fruit in it. My daughter eats it at morning snack time then seals the lid shut so it does sit inside a lunch box for hours each day and yes it's dark and moist (from the left over fruit or excess moisture). It wash it dry it over night. I need to find a jar with a steal lid or one with less of a deep space in the lid to clean and dry better.

原文： My daughter recently wanted to start having leftovers for lunch instead of sandwiches so we ordered her this. I read other reviews stating that their food was cold by lunch but took a chance and here is what I found. One, macaroni and cheese is almost cold by the time you put in on the dinner tabl
e, so bad choice for this. Two, you have to properly heat the thermos. I add really hot water and screw the lid on. This keeps the water hot and also heats the lid so when you put in your hot food it isn't losing heat by warming up the lid. I have put lasagna and meatloaf in the thermos and four hours later it is still warm. I microwave the food till it is hot then pour out the hot water from the thermos, quickly dry, and add food. There is no such thing as a product that will do these extra steps for you. If you want a conveniently small little thermos to fit in your lunch bag you have to treat it like a small little thermos. The extra prep time (which takes just minutes) insures a warm lunch. I would definitely buy this product again or give as a gift.
Update: My daughter wanted to bring juice to school so we tried two methods. First we filled with water and ice and let it sit for a few minutes then dumped the water and filled with juice. 5 hours later it was still cold. Second we just filled the thermos with juice and then put it in the fridge overnight and juice was cold 5 hours later. She just loves this product.

Like any thermos if you want hot food you need to heat up the thermos before you put your food in...So I boil water and fill the thermoses with boiling water to heat the co
ld metal inside. While this is happening I heat up the food HOT. When the food is ready, I dump out the hot water from the thermoses, and refill with the hot food.
After 4 hours in the thermos my girls say that their lunch food is steaming but not too hot.
Let's face it....You can't expect to get hot food from a cold medal Thermos.
Preheat it and it works like a charm!

I recommend if you are doing something HOT and need it to stay hot for 5 hours make sure its piping hot before you put it in the thermos. y the time she got to eat it. The next time around I heated it very well and it was hot when she got to eat it 5 hours later during her lunch period.
Also don't over fill it or it will spill everywhere when you try to screw the top on it. Learned that the hard way. I love this thermos and will probably buy another one.

原文： Bought this because my son's day care isn't licensed for food prep, so they can't even heat something in a microwave. I was hoping we could prepare something in the morning and have it still be warm when it's time for his lunch. We were mainly worried about trying to send warm food that would sit
out for a few hours before it was given to him to eat, gathering bacteria.
We received this yesterday, and decided before we sent it to the day care with our son, we would test it. So I prepared three chicken nuggets and put them in this container at around 7am (following the advice in another review, I had filled the container with hot water for a few minutes while I prepared the food). When I opened the container at 12pm (five hours later), the chicken nuggets were room temperature. Not warm, not lukewarm... room temperature. I could have saved $15 and put the chicken nuggets in a plastic baggie and gotten the same result. Clearly, the statement that this will keep food "warm" for "up to 5 hours" is not accurate.
I haven't had an opportunity to try to find out how long it actually *will* keep food warm for, but since we leave the house around 7am and my son's lunch is around noon, I'll have to look for something else that will hopefully keep the food warm.
