原文: We have four children. I am smart about what we spend money on. That being said, some things a mom just has to have for her children, and baby product manufacturers know it. That is why we see many products made of the same material - with a little variation in design - with such large differences i
n prices. These bibs I have been using for both my son and daughters for three years. With the first ones - which were gifts at my baby shower - I was not totally impressed because the pouch kept collapsing thus not allowing food or drink to easily be caught by the bib. I was skeptical about buying any more, but I REFUSED to pay anything more for Baby BJorn or other high-priced brands! While at the local Babies-R-Us I saw a display for Tommee Tippee bibs and they looked sturdier... And upon examination, they actually were. The pocket/pouch stayed open and the rubbery material is thicker and stiffer but not so stiff that they wouldn't be comfortable for my children to wear. AND Amazon was about $3 less for a two-bib package. As a conscientious mom who refuses to pay inflated prices and who does TONS of research to ensure I am buying the best, most effective products, this is a no-brainer.
原文: I have a lot of different bibs at home. At first my 9 month old did not like these but he got used to it pretty quickly 1. Easy to clean and dries quickly 2. After 5 months of using, no foul odors and still in great shape 3. Not a hard plastic so my baby doesn't mind wearing it (
the baby bjorn ones are very hard and my baby just cries when I put it on) 4. So far my 14 month old has not been able to pull it off (he can pull off ones hat attach by Velcro) 5. The food catcher really helps keep food out of his lap
Tip: put a command hook on the back of highchair to hang bibs so you don't have to look for them at meal time

原文: I bought these cause i loved the idea of just rinsing off bibs without having to put them in the wash, however these are a little wide for my son ( 9 months old) and he does not like the plastic feel that isn't as flexible as fabric. as soon as he is even slightly distracted from his food he starts
原文: Finally! Of all the random products I have not cared too much about over the years, bibs have been a cause of annoyance for me! The cloth ones stain, and some of the "waterproof" ones start to smell moldy after a little. I tried the baby bjorn ones, but those were so stiff they felt like bod
y armor. These are soft silicone, so they sit comfortably on my toddler and they roll up easily to go in the diaper bag. I simply rinse it after use or use a napkin to wipe it down. The pocket is absolutely essential and catches food and milk with every meal. My only complaint is that it doesn't quite get tight enough around the neck, so sometimes food will still dirty her collar. Also, the clasps sometimes come undone while she is eating.
原文: I think these could be really great for younger babies. I bought this because I needed a bib that my child could not pull off. The first problem is, she could still pull this off until I used a hole punch to make an additional hole. The extra hole was small enough that the bib wouldn't come apar
t as easily and made the neck opening smaller so that not as much food dribble down behind the bib. The second problem we are experiencing is that the bib over all is just too small of an area. A lot of food and drink goes right into the little bucket of the bib but plenty of it still goes down the sides or underneath somehow. (Picture included of messy shirt after removing bib) I plan to keep these bibs for my next baby and use them when the baby is younger/smaller.
原文: I'm an experienced bib user, having been through three messy kids. I have used both the Baby Bjorn and these and they are both suited for different stages.
Our Baby Bjorn is very easy to remove, so I did not like using it under about 2.5 years old. It is firmer and less floppy than the To
mmee Tippee and I do like that about it. Once my children reached the age of understanding that if they remove the bib, their food is taken away, then the Bjorn was appropriate.
However, the Tommee Tippee is harder to remove, so for the kid that is wanting to take the bib off, the TT works better. I often read people complain that this bib is not tight enough around the neck and gives room for food to dribble down. I agree with this, I have petite children and everything runs big on them. However, it is easily resolved by taking a standard hole punch and punching your own hole wherever you want it and this makes it tighter. The other advantage is that this makes a slightly smaller hole than what the bib comes with, and makes it even more difficult for the child to remove.
I used our first set of bibs for over three years before they got moldy. One I had left accidentally in our travel booster dining seat for several weeks and I could not remove the mold from it. The other one finally starting cracking along the bottom. They were well worth the money and we got our use out of them.
原文: These are great bibs to hand-wash and re-use each time baby eats. The down side is the quality. We've only had these a couple months and they're getting quite discolored (in spite of washing after each use right away), and the form is getting wavy and disfigured a bit...not a huge issue, they stil
l work, but I would expect them to hold up a little better than they are, especially for the price. I've never put them in the dishwasher as some people say they do, and I would imagine that would only make them worse, so I would recommend only hand washing.
