o diss the "P" (which I've liked for a long time)---but my hands aren't as strong as they used to be, and I tend to drop them like hotcakes! I've had Corelle in the past, but it's been a very long time ago, and I was a little skeptical about ordering these. I have been looking for nice every day dishes and I especially wanted to purchase products made in the UNITED STATES (*although the cups are made in China--what can you say?) I paid close attention to the reviews of this particular Corelle pattern, and to tell you the truth, that's what made up my mind. I just bought 3 sets of these so that I could have 12 place settings, and so far, I am really happy with these dishes. They are beautifully designed with a raised scroll/vine/floral pattern; very classy and timeless, and they will go with anything and ANY Holiday throughout the year. The only drawback that I can see is that Corelle doesn't make any smaller plates or bowls to go with them---which would be a huge plus in my book! Judging from some other reviews, I think most folks would agree with me on that one. I'm thinking that apparently people don't serve bread or dessert on small plates anymore. Hmmm. Oh well, I guess, I'll just have to mix and match---just makes for a more eclectic table setting! I'm looking now to try to purchase some smaller plates for desserts, bread, etc. I added photos of the set (some of the photos have an ivory colored Pfalzgraf mug to show the color and thickness differences, and I also added a little white porcelain bowl that I already had that would sort of match the set). The last photo shows a little more of the raised detail on the dishes. Hope this review helps you make up your mind.
