原文: I purchased two of these 5 TB back drives. I started filling the first one. Started strong transfering at 80mb/s. once it reached 25% full it the speed dropped to 20-40mb/s. After 50% 15-25mb/s, and then after 80% i was at 1-3mb/s. 90% full and not reaching above 1mb a second for write speed. O
nce the hhd was full i started to check some of the backup files on the seagate. I found that quite a few of my pictures and videos had no picture previews. I opened few to check them and they were corrupted. So i when back to check the original and they were fine. Copyed some of the seagate that were having problems and they were still corrupted. So i wipped it and started up the other seagate and stated copping files, only to find a day later after all the files copied over i was have problems with different files being corrupted. I compared the files from the first seagate back up drive to the second seagate drive. What i found was files( photos, word docz, Excel files, videos, music, ect) had randomly corrupted throughout the two drives. Ive moved on to WD my books inplace of the seagate. I was very upset to have wasted a week purchasing, filling, checking, wipping, and returning. But i would have been ABSOLUTELY LIVID if would have permenently lost files because of these terrible hhd they use in these seagates. Also, the WB is 6 TB and transfers at 167mb/s. I thought i was saving some money buying the seagate. Turns out i was buying a little life lesson
原文: I purchased this drive to replace another Seagate external hard drive that crashed. Luckily, with this one, I backed up all information onto another drive. However now I am left with yet another brick and this time it only lasted 3 months of very light use. I wish I did not have to live in fear of l
osing all of my files. Having to purchase multiple backups is getting very expensive. This company needs to build a more reliable product. Hopefully they will honor their limited warranty, but again another hassle to go through. I just want a working hard drive.
