ts that I have owned, this loop is smaller. This one is actually a little bit in the way. Also the loop and the extra pockets are reversed side to side, and on these shorts, they are behind the side seam, rather than in front. This makes them rather less convenient for things like cell phones or smaller tools. In fact, they are actually under the wearer's leg when seated.
Fit and overall quality are just fine.
