原文： I looked at a lot of different hampers on Amazon before going with this one, and even then I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. Many of the negative reviews made comments on the durability of the hamper and the sturdiness of it. I also read a few about a bad smell.

nd nothing negative about this hamper so far. Right away out of the package, there was no factory smell. It was perfect. It took it's shape immediately and it's been great ever since. Most of the reviews that touched base on the durability of the hamper seemed to be from people who are throwing wet towels/clothes into the hamper. Don't throw your wet towels in the hamper! Easy solution! Maybe that's the cause of the smell for some of the people, wet mildew towels.

It's much taller than I expected it to be. I was under the impression it would be very small, but it comes up to about mid-thigh and holds plenty of clothes. It's not super wide, so it doesn't take up a lot of space in the room which is great.

I really like this hamper a lot and would absolutely order another one if I needed to. It's been a perfect solution to my lack-of-a-hamper problem!

原文： I bought two of these and at first liked them. However, as with many people, I do laundry in the basement, and as is unfortunately the case basements sometimes can get damp. Well, when these get wet they turn into soggy cardboard after which they are pretty useless- even after drying out.

/>Does it state anywhere in the product description that these are made out of cardboard? No. Do I consider this misleading? Yes.

It would not exactly be expensive to make these out of perforated plastic covered in canvas, but then Rubbermaid's profit margin would be ever so lower.
