e I have had. I have been running in Saucony Kinvara 5's and I really like them as well, but these are even better.
So, here's hopping the treads hold up!!

The collar is a bit uncomfortable at first due to firm collar materials where the collar meets at the front of the ankle, and firm ride (note I put this in both plus and minus - the ride is by no means harsh, but this is a typical mizuno ride).

Runner information:
Distance range between 3 and 10 miles per run
Mid-foot strike - depending on type of run this can vary between light heal to forefoot, but 90% of the time textbook mid-foot strike
Typical training week: one very fast run over a 4k course - targeting pr, one interval day with 10 sets of all out run followed by a rest run spread over 5 miles, two easy run days with maximum pace at 10 min/mile

Comments:
This is a great shoe. Though this wasn't as well received as the Hitogami, I found this shoe ideal for 4k training. I ran one race so far in this shoe and it performed well on race-day.

If you look at the forefoot tread on the Sayonara 2, you'll notice a circuit-board like pattern of hard rubber embedded in a cloth layer. This might give the impression that the shoe will be lacking in durability. At least for the type of running I'm doing on mainly pavement, this is not the case. At over 150 miles run in all conditions including rain and snow, the tread shows only light wear on the hard x10 rubber - including the circuit-board potion. The typical tread wear for my shoes will have maximum wear in the dead center of the circuit-board pattern from my toe-off. These shoes are only showing light wear on some of these nubs. So I would expect normal wear life for a good pair of running shoes. When you see complaints about this shoes durability, be sure to distinguish between impressions and actual experience - which in my case has been quite good and in line with other Mizunos I've owned.

the gym. They fit as expected and have a very comfortable feel. I have gone on several 5-6 mile runs and my feet and legs have felt great afterwards with no aches.

over 8 miles and neither the wish on my worst enemy. I decided to take my chances with the Sayonara 2 and really are some very good. Very light and with good coushion to the point that I notice more quickly in my cadence, better mastery of mechanics and balance in motion shoes. Have with them a few miles (30 miles) so I hope it continue being good. In April I run my 4th in Boston Marathon so I hope you join me.
