原文：I purchased the 1-1.5" wand after wanting nice bouncy curls and not being able to achieve them with a regular curling iron or flat iron. I have long, thick hair that is really hard to curl, and almost impossible to keep curly, even with tons of hairspray. I decided to try this wand after watchin
g some YouTube videos regarding curling wands. My first attempt I did use the glove, and I'm glad because the wand is really awkward to use when you're not used to it, and I probably would have burned myself.I feel like the trick is to go behind your head with the wand on the opposite side from which you are curling. You have to wrap the hair TIGHTLY around the wand (with your gloved hand), with the wand facing down to get the best curl and hold it there for at least 5 seconds, if not more, depending on your hair. I started with a temp around 390, but had to go all the way up to 410 for my hair to hold the curl. I sprayed my whole head first with Aussie Sprunch spray, then brushed my hair. After curling one complete side I would again spray with hairspray and leave it. Once my whole head was done I resprayed my entire head, used my fingers to adjust the curls, then used a dry shampoo at the roots to give it more volume, and a shine spray. Sounds like a lot of effort, but the whole business took about 40 minutes, and I believe it will go faster once I start getting used to the process. I ended up with a nice head of loose curly waves with lots of volume, and those Kardashians girls had nothing on me.Bottom line, I would definitely purchase while keeping in mind that the first time may not be a success, so don't try it the morning before work. If the hair tends to slip off, use a hairspray first, then brush through your hair and it should help. This is good for those with long, or very thick hair that usually have difficulty getting curls, and the price is right.
