I usually only carried a pocket knife and would reflexively grab any of my various tool bags when going into a call that I thought I might need. Or more often than not...not grab any tools and have
to trudge out to the car and load up after the first round of troubleshooting.I saw a glowing review of another of the Squirt series on the EEVBlog Youtube channel and decided it looked like exactly the solution to my problem. I never liked carrying a multi-tool as they were too bulky for pockets and I refuse to use a holster. But the Squirts had just the right assortment of tools and were just the right size. And I trusted EEVBlog's opinion on the build quality.After receiving it, it replaced my pocket knife in the coin pocket on my jeans and is always at my side when I leave the house. It has been about 4 months and it still looks good as new even thought it gets used in some manner every day and just recently helped my complete an IP-CCTV installation. I have ended up using the scissors more than almost anything else. And that is the one tool I thought was silly to have on there. The knife has seen a great deal of mileage as well. The screw drivers, while not seeing a lot of use, have proved a huge time saver when I just needed to adjust a screw or remove a panel that I had not planned on. The file helped clean up the flashing on some poorly made office furniture that was preventing proper assembly. I have only used the pliers a couple times and that is mostly because I forget they are there. I have not actually used the strippers as I rarely need regular strippers. It happens, just not in the 4 months I have had this. I mostly deal with ethernet, which I have one of my aforementioned tool bags for.If you are like me and have always wanted a multi-tool, but loathe the bulk of them. You will not regret having this puppy on you on bit.

原文：I recently lost my E4 and purchased this as a replacement. I was dubious about it, as the small screwdriver was a very frequently used component for me (as an automation engineer, my usual MO after stripping a wire is to attach it to a screw terminal of some sort) and the scissors don't seem to have
much purpose given that the stripper blades already have a cutting section in addition to the knife blade, but the E4 is now out of production and the new finish looked nice at least. I also noticed in the image on this product description that unlike my old E4, the ES4 was held together by allen screws instead of rivets, so I hoped I'd be able to adapt it to my needs with relative ease. Now that I've received it, it seems that Leatherman has gone back to a riveted construction, and the tiny, redundant scissors are there to stay. I've also found that the new, more durable finish is rubbing off in my pocket after two days in my pocket with keys. The overall build quality still seems good and I'm not aware of any other keychain-sized tool with wire strippers so I'll continue carrying it, but I wish the old E4 were still available at a decent price.UPDATE: In the course of moving out of my old house I just discovered my long-lost E4, no worse for wear, in a gap behind some furniture where it had fallen. I've posted a picture in the product images showing the two tools side by side and detailing the things about the ES4 that make it a worse tool in my opinion.
